One of My Favorite Drinks

I am a simple person with simple dreams and life. Small and simple things makes me happy, just like this drink. It is one of my favorite drinks which I didn't know how to make yet. It is a Thai Tea with big tapioca. I only get a chance to drink it when we eat at Chinese or Thai restaurants. And when I do, this drink becomes my dessert for it is sweet and yummy!

Thai tea (also known as Thai iced tea) or "cha-yen" in Thailand, is a drink made from strongly-brewed black tea. Other ingredients may include added orange blossom water, star anise, crushed tamarind seed or red and yellow food coloring, and sometimes other spices as well. This tea is sweetened with sugar and condensed milk and served chilled. Evaporated milk, coconut milk or whole milk is generally poured over the tea and ice before serving to add taste and creamy appearance. However, in Thailand, condensed milk and sugar are mixed with the tea before it is poured over ice and then topped with evaporated milk. In Thai restaurants worldwide, it is served in a tall glass, though in Thailand it is more typically poured over the crushed ice in a clear (or translucent) plastic bag. It can also be made into a frappe at more westernized vendors.
It is popular in Southeast Asia and in many American restaurants that serve Thai food. Although Thai tea is not the same as bubble tea, a Southeast and East Asian beverage that contains large tapioca pearls, Thai tea with tapioca pearls is a popular flavor of bubble tea.

Our Trip to the Philippines

My husband and I have been married for 10 years before he finally met my parents and siblings (family) in person last year. Before our flight, my husband was very nervous, excited and worried. Excited to see the place where I was born and raised and also meet my folks, and nervous because it was his first time to travel by plane for almost 24 hours, and worried that my family will not like him, lol. But I assured him that there is nothing for him to be worried about; and he will have so much fun spending time with them. He didn't know then that my parents are more excited to see him and our son than me. Anyway, the long flight was hard for my son. He kept saying "are we there yet, Mommy?" Or "another stop- over again"  in the disappointed voice. But that was replaced with so much fun and excitement when we finally landed and seen his cousin and uncles at the airport waiting for us. Husband spent 10 days there while Jacob and I were there for almost two weeks. Unfortunately, our days there were cut off because hubby and I got sick. But hey! we still had so much fun! I just wished we could have stayed there longer. Seeing my family again was a great treat for me and my family and vice versa. It was worth the money and time.

Going to the Philippines takes a lot of preparations, from saving money for the trip, and shopping for some presents to each member of the family. No occasion for that matter, just a Filipino tradition to give someone something they like and will make them feel special and happy. Aside from these two expenses, there's the pocket money we need to spend while there. Good thing we have saved enough for that trip otherwise we would need to find a company that would give as a  paycheck advance of which we try to avoid as much as possible. Don't get me wrong on this one, obtaining a payday loan is not bad at all, it can actually help you a lot especially in times of emergency and such.

The Nail Polish Blog

Last summer we visited my family whom husband haven't met yet;  my sister in-law was there and offered to clean and put nail polish on my finger and toe nails. I said, yes! While she was cleaning my nails, I noticed she has very little supplies she needs, few choices of nail polishes, that is. I am pretty sure she would be very happy if I send her holographic nail polish she can add to her manicure and pedicure supplies. Anyway, I've found this website/blog that shares some tips and reviews when it comes to manicure and pedicure stuffs. Check it out if you are interested.

David Archuleta, Not a Filipino After all!

David Archuleta, a famous LDS singer who won second place in one of the American Idol episodes. All along we thought he was a Filipino American, but we were all wrong. The link I attached here confirmed that he is indeed a Hispanic. Yes, he does look like a Filipino, but in blood he is a Hispanic. Anyway, him being a Hispanic didn't stop me from liking him. He is a very talented young man who loves to sing.

Check out this great MSN video: David Archuleta leaving in a couple of months time for his Mormon Mission!

One thing we have in common is that we belong to the same religious sect which is LDS (latter day saints) commonly known as Mormon. So glad he have made a right decision to serve a full time mission for the church. Way to go, David!  We love you. Go and share the words of God to wherever place you may be in God's put you in

World of Warcraft Websites

My son loves to play video games at home. Sometimes I set limits on him with this thing because it isn't good for him to play for long hours. So, I just let him play during weekends like Friday night and on Saturday (no Sunday though). Anyway, he loves the Warcraft so much. Thank goodness the wow private server is there to help me and my son play safely. My son can play under the rules set by the administrator of the said website or Warcraft website, thus the game's dynamic is different than other websites around. So, if you want to play this exciting games, hurry and visit their site for more info.

Preparing for the Summer Heat

Few more months and it is summertime once again.  Knowing Texas weather especially during summertime, you need to go to the beach or somewhere where the weather is not as warm as Texas. Or you can go to the community swimming pool where people are pack like a can sardines. Hubby and I are tired on going to the swimming pool on summer, and so we decided to to buy portable swimming pool. It would be expensive, but still cheaper than real swimming pools. As soon as our favorite stores starts selling this kind of pool, we would go there and buy ourselves a swimming pool (portable) as well as some  swimming pool supplies to help install and complete the swimming pool in our backyard. Oh man, I couldn't wait to swim in our own swimming pool, plus we can use it for my son's birthday/swimming this July. Yes, we are all excited, alright, lol?

Valentines Day Gift from Hubby

It was Valentines Day again; and I didn't want anything more than to spend it with the one I love, my husband and later on with our son. Anyway, he gave me a dozen of red roses, and later on a custom made Valentines card which was my favorite :-). Aren't these flowers beautiful? I love them; thanks Sweety for this...I love you, too!

Belated Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Plants, Great Presents for Housewarming

Almost 2 years ago, we had a housewarming party for our newly built house. We invited friends over to share this special moment with us. I did almost all the preparation from cleaning and tidying the house, to cooking foods and sending invitations. To save us from spending more money and time, this housewarming party was also a birthday party for my son. Since it was a one party rolled into two occasions, we got a lot of presents. Jacob received birthday presents, and I got housewarming plants, and home decor presents from my friends :-). With what we did, we all saved time, money and gas, lol. Anyway, I always thank God for the blessings He sends us today..and everyday! Oh and by the way, did I forget to mention that I love those housewarming plants; to this day, they are still alive and add beauty in my house. Thank you again, my friends :-).

Musical Instrument's Accessories on Sale

At the tender age of 7, my son's favorite thing to do or even wants to become someday is unstable. Last month, he wanted to be a basketball player; the other day, he wanted to be an author. Who knows what he wanted to be next week. One thing for sure, he loves to play musical instruments especially piano, and a guitar. Hubby and I think of buying a guitar for our son; it would be a birthday present for him this July. So, I started looking online for the best and affordable guitar I could find. After searching on the net for few hours, I finally found a website that sells instruments. The company name is Musician's Friend.

The Musician's Friend.com is a great place to shop for any musical instruments. They have drums, cymbals, mallet percussion, trumpets, and bass to name a few. Right now, they have Accessory Sale going on where you can get a 10% off all accessories. In addition, you can also get a 15% off on a single item worth $199.00, you just need to use their coupon code "Presidents12". You need to hurry on this sale for it's going to end soon (Feb. 20). Anyway, the great things about this online store is that you can buy as many accessories as you want and get 10% off all accessories. Isn't it great? The fact that Accessory Sale - 10% of all accessories can save you some money, I really think that you need to buy as much as accessories you want especially if you own a band or  a music teacher. You can save more...who knows your students might also buy from you. I love this website for they not only sell musical instruments and accessories, but also offers amplifiers and effects, books, videos and music,  keyboards and MIDI, all kids of guitars, classroom musical instruments, materials and classroom aids and more. Check their website out if you are interested. You can even find more about musical instruments and the services they offer on their website. I am glad to have found this site. I will definitely contact them soon so I can avail of their sitewide free shipping offer.

My Better Half's Birthday Celebration

It was hubby's birthday last month. We didn't do something extravagant to celebrate his day, just a simple dinner out at his favorite restaurant which was at Mandras Palace, an Indian Vegetarian restaurant back in Richardson. We both enjoyed our date and of course the foods. At night, we feasted upon his the chocolate cake (his favorite) I made for him with our son. Anyway, I was trying to upload the photos taken on his birthday, but for whatever reason, the blogger is acting up and it wouldn't let me do it. Maybe I'll try uploading them here again late.

Fun Playing with Yoyo

Growing up, I remember when I was a little girl, I used to play yoyo. I had fun showing off to my friends how good I was playing with all the tricks. Now, I noticed that I am not as good as I used to. My son is learning how to play with it now and is doing pretty good though sometimes he got frustrated when he could not perfect a certain style or trick. I kept telling him that he needs to practice more. It will take awhile, but he will eventually master the trick. Anyway,  I wonder where I can find a loop 900 yoyo factory. Maybe they could sell us some.  Really this kind of yoyo is not easy to find. It would be fun to play this new kind of yoyo.

Went Home Sad

Today, when my son got home from school, he was very sad. When I asked him why he was upset, he said that he got a yellow marker on his daily log folder. This means that he was in trouble by talking when he wasn't supposed to talk. What happened was a boy sitting next to him asked him to smell something and he did smell it. But when his teacher saw him smelling it, she thought that Jacob was talking to his friend. His clip was moved down yellow which means he wasn't good today. My poor boy :-(; he has been very good at school for the past few months getting on purple (reward: sticker) and gold (reward: pen, pencil, mechanical pencil and eraser). He also thought that I was going to get mad at him, but I didn't and told him that he could do better tomorrow. He felt better afterward. I also assured him that I won't get upset when he gets on yellow again.

New Xbox modded Controller

Last week, a family friends of ours invited us over for a dinner at Wild Buffalo Wings restaurant in Mesquite. We ate all you can eat chicken wings while having fun chatting and watching sports. Our two boys didn't care about eating, they just enjoyed playing with Charles toy. So, we ended taking home some of the left over wings and hotdogs. Before heading home, we stopped by at the Friers house and sang karaoke while the boys were playing some video games.

When we were singing karaoke using the controller, I notice that the boys were only using 1 controller and so the boys didn't get to play together, instead they took turns playing while the other boy was waiting for his turn. I think that the Friers need to buy one more controller like the rapid fire xbox controller. I saw online while browsing the internet. Xbox has new additional modded controller. The camouflage one for sure would be the boys new favorite controller. I like the glossy red though, just like the one I attached here.

Use Mailing Tubes for Presents

Mailing gifts for family and friends can be quite expensive nowadays. I still cannot believe that we spent more than thirty hundred bucks just on gifts and shipping alone! It is because we didn't think of how much the gifts would weight when we bought them. Thus, when it was time to mail them, we were surprise, but we don't have any but to mail them since it wouldn't get there just in time for Christmas had we exchange them or shop again for lighter gifts. Oh well, we learned our lessons well last year. Now, I plan on buying calendar  fosters where I can place it inside the mailing tubes. It would be a useful customized gifts that everyone would enjoy and use for the rest of the year, not to mention less expensive and cheaper mailing price. Sounds like a good plan for me. What do you think?

I Love Blogging and Writing

When we moved to Virginia in 2008 due to husband's work, I was very upset. I didn't really want to move because we have been living in our first house for nearly 8 years and I have come to love the place/city. It was a great adjustment for me, but just like they say "you've got to do what you have to do." Yes, I didn't have any choice, but to follow where hubby's job take us to. Good thing I have a friend who talked me into writing online or should I say 'blogging.' She was so persistent that  took her advice though I was skeptical. To tell you frankly, I kindly of enjoyed doing it that is why I am still doing it. Blogging has helped me a lot. I got the chance on exploring the world of internet. I have search many websites that are interesting, helpful and all. One of the many websites I came across with and came to love even to this day were the triangle direct media, wordpress, blogger and paypal. Blogging had taught me many lessons and opportunity I didn't know existed.  It's been 4 years now and I still enjoy blogging and writing where I express my thoughts, feelings, ideas and opinions with my fellow bloggers and friends.

Avail of These Free Our World Game Stuff

My son and hubby love to play games which are not bad especially when they want to bond and have the fun at the same time. They are happy and I am , too for I get to a 'me time' without interruptions from them, lol. But these days, these games are getting pricey because of its high demands. Good thing I have found a link that can help me get ourworld codes free! Who would have thought that? Now, the boys can still enjoy playing ourworld games without getting broke. Sounds too good to be true? Then why not check the link provided here to find out whether I am telling truth or not.

The Power of Repentance

We must cease fighting against God and instead give our whole hearts to Him, holding nothing back. Then He can heal us. Then He can cleanse us from the venomous sting of sin.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4-5)

Sin is like an injury to the spirit. If left untreated, it can also lead to more serious complications. Briefly discuss what some of those complications might be. (More serious sin, apostasy, or spiritual death.) We can take care of most of our spiritual injuries on our own. When a sin is grievous, someone with authority must help us. Ask: Who would that person be? (The bishop.)
