Looking for Father's Day Gift

I have been looking for a gift to be given to my husband for Father's Day tomorrow. And so the other day, I went to the mall with my son to buy husband something he would like to have, but no luck. On the way out of the mall, my son saw this huge chocolate chip cookies for Father's Day, but I couldn't believe how pricey it was! Nope, I didn't buy it. I thought of making one myself, and have my son decorate it. It's hubby's fave cookie, but is not healthy for him to eat especially now that he is on a diet. I'll make it anyway....for my son, lol. I just hope I could have gone to www.bakersgas.com. This website I just checked has tons of stuffs my husband would like to get. I guess, it's not too late to order something for hubby on this site. "Better late than never" as they say :-).

Importance Device

My husband and I love adventure. We go to places we've never been to. We drive and drive and sometimes we don't know where we are going. We don't mind it before, but now that the price of gas is sky rocketing, we can't afford to waste money. I just wished we bought the gps at Bass Pro when we received a $75 gift card from timeshare about six months ago. We almost got that gps, but we changed our minds for it was very expensive. We thought that if we go to other store, we would save some money. We were wrong. Now, the gift card is gone :-(. Next time we get the chance, we need to buy one coupled with gps locator. This would be beneficial to us in the long run especially the gps locator when my son starts driving in 8 years time :-). I know it is still a long time, but it would be great to have on still.

Jacob and His Friend, Aaron

My son, Jacob loves to swim. As you can see in this photo that I took when he was swimming with his friend, Aaron at the community swimming pool. He can swim, but only like a dog. He needs to attend more swimming lessons before he can finally swim the right way. That is why every summer for the last three years, we enroll him for at least one lesson.

Today, we enrolled him again, but this time in Terrell because the community swimming pool doesn't do the swim lessons anymore. I don't know why they stopped it this summer. Anyway, hopefully, this time he will gain more confidence swimming and eventually be able to jump on the pool bravely. Aaron on the other hand  didn't enroll for the lesson this year because they are on vacation for a month.

Finding Activities for My Son This Summer

Summer is time for the children to relax and not worry about school homework and stuffs. So far, he is having fun being home all the time, and doing things he loves to do like swimming, playing with his very own first pet, named 'Pumpkin.' He loves walking his dog everyday. On top of that, he is also busy making books, drawing, and helping me around the house. Just yesterday, we have enjoyed camping in one of Texas state parks. The Cooper Lake State Park is really a neat place to camp. We went swimming, fishing, hiking, and driving around the little town of Sulfur Springs. We thought it was a neat place to retire. Anyway, I have been looking for a website where I can find things to do to make my son's mind and body be occupied for the rest of the summer in case he starts to same "Mommy, I'm bored." While surfing the net, I came across  http://www.carangel.org/, and thought about  a fellow church member who is in need of  new car. Their old car does work but it was too small for the big family. Maybe they can donate their car to this website after they've found a new replacement to their old car. It would be neat if they are willing to do that.

Meet Pumpkin, the New Member of the Family

Isn't she adorable? We love this pretty nice and friendly dog. The moment we saw her on the picture, we all fell in love with her. So, we decided to take her. Pumpkin lives in Richardson for almost 7 years. But for many reasons, the owner decided to part with her. The couple are expecting twin babies and it is too much for her handle a toddler, twins and a dog. They said, they don't want to do it...but they need to do it because aside from the said reason, Pumpkin causes allergy to their little girl.

Anyway, to make the story short, we met the owners, and took Pumpkin home. So far, we are so happy to have her in our home as new family member. We love her, and we think that she is happy with us, too though sometimes we think that she misses her old family/owner. Hope she will be able to be completely happy and open to us as her new family/owner.
