Surviving Mesothelioma

If you or someone you know suffer from the cancer called Pleural Mesothelioma, you probably know that this is the common type of mesothelioma, which is a rare cancer that develops in the mesothelial cells that make up the mesothelium, a membrane that lines many of the body’s organs and cavities. In the case of pleural mesothelioma, the cancer develops in the lining of the lungs, called the pleura or pleural membrane.

Most people think that this type of cancer can not be cured, but they are wrong! If this cancer is detected early that means improvement on patient's mesothelioma prognosis considerably, and these patients have more extensive treatment options. If the disease is diagnosed early enough, surgery to remove localized tumors, followed by chemotherapy or radiation therapy to kill any remaining cancer cells can be an effective treatment. Curative surgery candidates must be in a good general state of health, and their cancer must not have spread beyond localized sections of the lungs.

There is also a book whose author was a Mesothelioma Cancer survival. Mr. Kraus book's title is: Surviving Mesothelioma and Other Cancers: A Patient's Guide. This book offers advice on what he did to beat the odds so that others can too. Today, "Surviving Mesothelioma" is the best-selling Mesothelioma book in the world. Dr. Bernie Siegel said, "Paul Kraus' book has all the information a cancer patient needs to have in order to learn what survival behavior is about." Right now he is giving away copies of this book free for a limited time, so you better hurry, and get yourself one.
