David Archuleta, Still Just a Kid from Murray

David Archuleta hasn't let success spoil him. Even though he recently wrapped up his first headlining tour and his self-titled first CD debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 (and is nearing platinum status), he's still just a kid from Murray.

"I was amazed at how many people came to my concerts," Archuleta observed during an interview Wednesday. "I knew people liked me on 'American Idol,' but I didn't think they'd care to come see me sing at my own show." David Archuleta is my favorite singer, finalist on the Famous Show, American Idol. I was sad when he didn't win, but happy at the same time because he was a good sport the whole time he was i the contest especially during the final day.

David James Archuleta was born on December 28, 1990 in Miami, Florida, USA. Critics and fans alike call him a singing prodigy due to his early development and talent in singing. He has a growing fan base due to his numerous appearances on television talent shows like American Idol and Star Search.Although he was born in Miami, Florida, David and his family moved around in Florida for most of his early life, but finally moved to Salt Lake City, Utah on February 1997 where he currently resides.
