To One and All....

Dutch Master Cigars

My siblings and I tried many times to persuade our father to stop smoking because it is not good for his health. But for whatever reason, he would listen to us. He keeps telling us that that is the only habit he has. He stopped drinking long time ago which is good. I decided to let him do what he wants...it is his choice and there is nothing we can do to stop him. Anyway, every once in awhile, I see people buy cigars and it makes me feel sad. One time I saw a man holding a package of Dutch Master cigars. That brand of cigar looks expensive to me. It must be a good one that is why I am not familiar with the name. Our neighbor upstairs smoke, am sure they knew that brand well. By the way, hubby and I are not fans of people who smokes. Yup, I am against it for the reason that it can kill even those who doesn't smoke.

More Photos at the Dallas Zoo

Here are some of the photos taken during our trip to the Dallas Zoo in October. As you can see, Jake was having so much fun! We need to do this often...

He loves the playplace because it is very unique.

Exit Signs

I still can remember the first time I traveled by plane on my way to Malaysia. I was very nervous because I didn't really have any idea on what to expect when our plane lands at Kota Kinabalu airport to switch plane. While waiting inside the airport I noticed the exit signs as well as the entrance signs were different. Thank goodness, there was a Filipino traveling with me who knew what those signs mean. She even gave me helpful tips and info regarding customs and traditions Malay people have. Anyway, she's been working there for quite awhile now and can speak as well as understand Malay language. I was very glad I have talked to her....otherwise I wouldn't know what to expect when I finally get there.

White Christmas with My Son

We had a white Christmas this year (2009); so I took some pictures of Jacob and I while hubby was still asleep.

At the playground...playing

Jake and I

Jake got some bruises from slipping while walking on snow on Christmas eve...oh boy he cried so hard that night.

Best Fat Burner

Christmas went well with us despite that my husband has to work that day. How about you, guys?Anyway, since holiday is almost over, my husband and I are ready for the coming new year. This time we both made a short list of what we would like and plan to do as soon as 2010 comes. As we know, holiday comes with lots of fun and foods. I, myself weren't able to resist those yummy foods prepared for us by our friends. Sure enough we both gained weight. Tomorrow will be a new beginning and it is time to lose weight. We need to find a best fat burner we could find to aide us with our goals. It will be hard to find that one because of the many fat burner in the market that is why we need to be wise and know which one would be safe effective and cheap.

Ping Pong Table

When I was in high school, I remember my brother used to play ping pong. In fact, he was good at it that there were times where he represented the school for a national ping pong tournament. And he won! That gave me courage to learn to play, but I wasn't able to learn because I couldn't practice because we don't have a ping pong table at home. Now that I am married, my husband wants to learn, too. I think it is time for us to buy a ping pong table so we could start with laying ping pong.

A Day at the Zoo!

I can't remember now when was the time we went to the zoo; I think it was in October. Anyway, here are some of the photos taken by your truly :-). We all had fun especially Jake. Seeing those animals i like a treat for him.

I love this one....

as you can see, he wasn't afraid with the alligator...he used to be scared with it though it wasn't real, lol!

Entrance to the Gorilla Conservation.

Behind him was the gorilla who loves little baby. This gorilla couldn't take eyes off the baby girl!

Nordictrack Audiostrider 990 pro

On top of the lists that hubby and I would like to do after the holiday is exercise so we can lose some weight and eventually be healthy for the sake of our son. Walking is the easiest way to do that. And since we already have a treadmill at home, walking won't be a big problem because I don't need to go out and endure the cold weather. My husband on the other hand like to do the elliptical thing. He has been eyeing the nordictrack audiostrider 990 pro he saw at Sears. Yup, he wanted it; but I told him that we need to save for that and that for the meantime, he can use the one at the fitness center. He said alright. Well, aside from we don't have budget for that, we also don't have space for it in our small apartment. So, he doesn't have any choice.

Another One of Those Busy Days!

We had a busy day yesterday running errands, getting hair cut done , and finding for a house. I was really tired. Then, at night, we took our friends to a Christmas lights decoration tour in the neighborhood nearby. They really had so much fun! I cannot believe it, they have been living in the same city for the past 20 years and yet, they've never need to any of these kind of thing during holiday. I just wished they will just pause and enjoy life every once in awhile instead of working like crazy. These people live to work and not they other way around. Life is too short and therefore, we need to enjoy it! Anyway, I still have a headache from yesterday's activities, but hubby wouldn't slow down; he wanted us to go stroll at the mall today while he watches the Avatar! That is unfair...he gets to watch it and I don't because I need to babysit Jake :-( ....waaaahh! Oh well, I'll just wait for it when the DVD comes out next year.

Fulfillment Center

While browsing the net to look for last minute gifts for Christmas, I came across the WSJ Store from Wall Street Journal. I was amazed with how much memorabilia they have. And if you are looking for a nice gift, you should check their site. I know now where to shop for a gift that my father in-law would enjoy. This store is called a fulfillment center. From stipples, apparel, awards and accessories, they have you cover. My favorite is the apparel section. I plan of buying my hubby a hat and shirt for his birthday early next month; I am sure he would be surprised!

We Had A Blast!

The other day, we decided to go to the mall to do a little bit of shopping for hubby. He needed two pants, two shirt. Since I am done with the shopping myself, I let him shop for his clothes while Jake and I play at the playplace. Two hours later, Matt wasn't done with his shopping, so I decided to have Jake sit on Santa's lap for a picture. Man, just for one sit and picture we paid $20! That is a lot! Oh well, what else can we do? Anyway, that was a once a year thing might as well do it if that would make my son happy! Earlier prior to that, we went to see Christmas Carol movie and oh my, it turned out to be a good one even though it was kind of like animated plus you have to wear this 3D eyeglass. We all enjoyed the movie, shopping and picture with Santa :-)! Jake had a blast!

Stainless Steel Drums

Last week, hubby took me for a date at the mall. We've watched movie: Everybody is Fine and after that went window shopping. While doing that, we stopped to listen with the children performing at the mall. And that made me think of my son. He is only five year old, but I think it would be nice if he could learn to play at least one musical instrument. I want him to play piano or a banjo. Right now, he is into playing drum. I saw a place at the mall where they sell stainless steel drums . That drum is not also nice looking one, but also easy to clean. I bet Jake would be excited to play it. If he decides to be in the marching band, playing drums won't be a big problem.

Friday Fill Ins

1. No, we will NOT spend more than we earn.
2.
It would be nice to eat again at the old kitchen table.
3. I watched the steam rising from the hot cup of coffee (or tea) and thought:
I am going to have a relaxing time watching cartoons with my son tonight.
4. Just put your trust in Him and everything is going to be okay.
5. I'll take whatever is left.
6. That was a great idea, at least from my point of view.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to do some EC dropping, tomorrow my plans include going to the mall and maybe have picture taken with Santa and Sunday, I want to see some nice Christmas decorations outside!

Cookies and Bread, Anyone?

This is a family tradition every Christmas that I baked cookies and bread to be given to our neighbors and friends. And here are the Pumpkin Breads and Chocolate Chip Cookies I have made. The bread can be eaten as dessert or breakfast with hot chocolate milk or Chicory.

Easiest Way to Buy Car Insurance

No matter how much we try, we cannot deny that many people are still struggling caused by the tough economy we are in. Families are doing their best to manage their finances to make ends meet and that includes reducing the cost of any expenses they have such as auto insurance coverage. We are glad to have found a way to compare prices of the insurance quotes from different sources or insurance companies. Now, we are saving at least 20% than prices of other insurance companies.

If you are looking for a place to compare prices of the insurance quotes, go to NetQuote , a site where would be able to request a free quote from different insurance providers. The result you will get from them you would be able to figure out which insurance policy is best for you. What are you waiting for? Use netquote and save yourself some money by getting better deal.

A Timely Gift from BlueDial

It is almost Christmas, and many people are still not done shopping gifts for their loved ones and friends. It can be very stressful especially if you do not know what to buy for each one of them. Some people opt to buying gift cards to make their holiday shopping easier just like my in-laws. Anyway, my father's birthday is on this month. I have not buy him any gift yet. I think I would buy him an automatic watch because that is his dream watch. This gift would also serve as my Christmas present for him I am pretty sure he would love it. While looking online, I came across the a website called the bluedial.com, where they sell elegant, name-brand watches for up to 70% off. You will Find your dream watch from Seiko, Citizen, Gucci, Movado, Tag Heuer they have you cover. I really like their casio g-shock which I am sure my husband would really love to have for his birthday next month. Back to my father's watch, the Seiko SNK322 Men's Gold Tone Stainless Steel Seiko 5 Automatic Gold Dial would be perfect for him because it has all the features he wanted for a watch. What I really like about it is that bluedial offers free shipping and free sizing! Plus they guaranteed to deliver it on Christmas. Isn't it great! That means it is not too late to shop for presents yet!

Cable Ties

My husband is not very good when it comes to hiding electrical cords and wiring. Yup, he is good at fixing electrical appliances and installations though. That is why, I hate it when he is fixing something because I have to pick things up after him. Good thing I have found a solution with all our cords and wiring. I found an online store that sell cable ties; now I don't need to worry about those tangled up cords; plus I can easily find which cord is for television or, DVD player and other electrical devices because of the colored-cable ties.

Industrial Products

It's been a month now since construction workers dug in front of the apartment door where we live. They still haven't fix the cracked concrete and it is not only an eye sore but it is not convenient to walk to. I hate it especially when it is raining because it might trigger a fire since they accidentally dug some electrical installation down the ground. I wonder if they were lacking some kind of industrial products to fix it. They probably need some safety device/tool and apparel to avoid harmful accident while fixing it since I notice they were not wearing safety vest when they were digging in front of our door. I just hope that they will start fixing it as soon as the holiday is over otherwise we will need to file a complaint at the leasing office.

Accredited Online Degree

Pursuing an education for me is not an easy task. As a stay at home mother, my schedule is very hectic. Good thing to know that modern technology made it easier for me and those who don't have time to attend school. Now, getting an education can be done in the comfort of our own home. There are many online courses school even accredited online degree you can choose from; and that is the reason why two years ago, I took an online class and found it very helpful. I was able to stay home while taking the class/course without leaving home, plus I can schedule my time study without pressure. It is totally the opposite of when I attend the class at the university or college.

Life Insurance

Nowadays, not all the people have life insurance because of its cost, not to mention that there are many of insurance companies out there, thus making it difficult to choose which one offers best coverage. As parents, we need to do our best to secure our children's future by getting life insurance for them in case something happen to us. By so doing, we wouldn't worry about them financially and emotionally as well.

Jack Georges

Computer has been a part of my life. I feel that I can't live without it anymore. So I carry it everywhere I go and it drives my husband so much though he doesn't carry it for me. I carry my laptop myself and sometimes it fells heavier especially when I carry it for more than an hour. I think it is time for me to get computer case to ease my burden. I really like the Jack Georges Milano collection particularly the Vertical Laptop Compatible Wheeler it is made of Italian leather and is very durable and is scratch and stain resistant. I am sure it will make my travel lighter.

LSAT prep

I am planning to pursue my education next year because I know how important it is for my family when crisis come and I need to go to work to sustain our needs. I heard that I need to take a special class called LSAT prep in order to get accepted to the school of my choice. It a requirement so I need to take this class.

Thanks For Your Visits, Guys!

My apology for not returning your visits and updating my blogs; we've been busy lately. There's plenty of things to be done: dealing with car insurance regarding our broken car, filing claims with the other party's insurance on top of shopping, wrapping and mailing Christmas presents, mailing cards, not to mention with many church activities that we/I need to attend to. I am always exhausted and tired. We are also in the process of looking for a house to buy in a nice and established neighborhood with good school district. Hubby and I agreed with the house we will buy; I get to pick the house as long as it is close to the park with walking trail and stuff. Anyway, I will get back to you guys as soon as the busyness of the holiday is over. Have fun shopping though it is impossible!

Searching for Cheap Apartment Has Never Been Easier!

Six months ago, my husband got his job back from the company he had worked for, for seven years. And so we need to moved back to the state where we came from. The company only gave two weeks to pack our things up and move so he could start working. So, we immediately start looking for an apartment to stay with. Since we heard so much good about the site called MyCheapApartments.com and how easy it is to find Cheap Apartments, we decided to use the website. I tell you, we were satisfied for the outcome because the site is easy to navigate and they have enough photos of apartments to choose from, thus easier for us to pick which neighborhood we wanted to live. We were able to different floor plans and it's prices. We were even allowed can even sort for prices from to sort by price to find the cheapest apartment! Amazing, isn't it? In no time, we found the apartment we both wanted to live. We are enjoying the apartment we are in right now; thanks to MyCheapApartments.com!

Protect Your Family and Home

I do believe that burglaries could happen any time, and that is the reason why didn't stop bugging my husband till he agreed to install home security systems in our first home. We live in an apartment now and I noticed some of the tenants wanted to make sure that they are secured; indeed home security is gaining public interest. When the burglars get the opportunity to break into your home, no matter what time of the day, they will strike and break in. Don't give them even a tiny bit of opportunity, make sure to set up a Home Security Surveillance System to your home for peace of mind and safety of your loved ones as well as your important possessions and documents.

We are currently looking for a house, and once we find one, I will make sure that home security system is installed especially that my husband works in the evening. Having a visible security system at home makes you feel secure and safe as you are less likely be exposed to any burglar occurrence, thus making uninvited intruders be warned before they accomplish unlawful action to a particular property. It also restricts the tendency of property loss or even the lives of the member of your family. Having home security systems installed send message that they are being watched by many people who wanted to eliminate them for good.

If you are interested, right now, ADT offers home security monitoring in all the states listed here. Visit their site now to avail of this special offer.

The North Face Running Shoes

It's been awhile since I last do some exercise and that is the reason why I gained few pounds on my body weight. I better start running again or I don't have a choice but to shop for new clothes.

Talking about running, I need to buy a new pair of running shoes since my old one is pretty much worn out now. I would like to buy a running shoes that is cushioned that way I wouldn't get a sore feet after walking or running.

While looking for running shoes online, I saw the running shoes I like at zappos.com. The-North-Face brand has many items you would probably interested in when it comes to shoes, winter clothing and more.

Know the Difference Between Trial and Permanent Loan Modification

This is a sponsored guest post written by Joel Jacobi on behalf of American Residential Law Group. Post powered by Sponzai.

Most of my clients don't understand the difference between a trial loan modification and a permanent loan modification. I'm writing this article to help homeowners better understand and navigate their way to successfully modify their home loan(s). Most homeowners understand only what they see in the paper or published reports. This is one reason why people are saying " I'm reading that everyone is getting help, but I'm getting nothing". The headlines read: 650,000 have received help under the new government modification program. What the article leaves out is the fact that these are all TRIAL loan modifications & all the information must be submitted again for review in 3-5 months.

During the 3-5 month trial period you will:

  1. Not receive payment coupons for scheduled payments

  2. Still considered delinquent on your loan

  3. Will have to submit financial via fax again!

Homeowners have a hard enough time submitting their paperwork to lenders the first time without it getting lost in the shuffle. On the second time around, if the bank loses your paper work, they will consider the loan back in default and not extend the loan modification (trial or permanent) again. Do you see where I'm going with this? Under 5% of the trial modifications turn into a long term solution.

Our loan modification attorneys use the best technology available to help our clients through the maze of loan modification. I have contacted numerous loan servicers to discuss an automated underwriting system. I even met with industry executives at a loan modification conference in Dallas, TX to discuss the issues in person. After the conference, I concluded that most of the loan servicers and banks are truly more interested in the bottom line & most homeowners are looked at as a risk or return and nothing more. The only way to move forward efficiently is to implement the technology that has driven our country to the forefront of the world. I use organization and automation everyday to keep my firm organized. If the loan servicers would do the same, we could fix this mess sooner rather than later.
