Green tomatoes can be used in all sorts of dishes, from relishes to pies…and of course, fried green tomatoes!
Perfect Green Tomato
Not all green tomatoes are alike. When those shiny emerald orbs first begin to appear on the vines, they're not yet edible. The best-tasting green tomatoes are those that have reached full maturity--that is, the jellylike substance around the seeds has fully formed--and have just the faintest hint of a red blush about their flesh. Once picked, these mature green tomatoes can keep for weeks, slowly edging towards redness. If you do want to store them long-term, arrange them in a single layer in a cool (but not cold) place and check them frequently: one bad tomato can spoil the whole batch.

You and your guy seem to have stuck the perfect power balance.
It's not that you don't disagree - it's just that you've learned how to compromise well.
You're both mature enough to know that you can't always get your way...
And usually, you're both adult enough to reach an agreement - even if that sometimes means giving in a little.

You're really the most ideal kind of mom to have- You're not too strict, you're not too loose. The kids know how to have fun at a playdate, and you're not ripping out your hair worrying all of the time about airborn germs and fingerprints. You keep your kids clean and well maintained yet they have fun getting dirty too. You keep your house picked up, but you don't have a home air purifier system and sanitizing wipes stashed in every nook and cranny. Your kids play well with others because they have manners but they're also relaxed enough to make friends. Good for you!

Go shopping one or two days before. This will give you extra time to prepare your home or backyard.
Stick with the classics. Grill hamburgers and hot dogs. It's oftentimes cheaper and easier, and in all reality, these foods are the essence of a barbecue. Also try providing a veggie option, such as grilled corn. It's simple, yet classic, and everyone is satisfied! Ask some of those coming to bring a side or a dessert and it will further simplify your party.
Setup and prepare everything beforehand, and let yourself enjoy. This way you don't have to worry about rushing around in hopes that everyone is happy. It's a summer night - it should be filled with chips, dig, and a burger, not the usual stress that may come with hosting.
Arrange for background music. Music provides a low hum that relaxes people; they don't have to worry about making conversation the entire evening. Fun music perfect for barbecuing music can include anything from Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong jazz to oldies by the Beatles and Creedance Clearwater Revival. Keep it low so your guests still have the chance to mingle, but if you deem it necessary, turn it up and dance.Source: LDS Living Magazine
All Things Outdoors
Utah Valley is a world-class outdoor adventure destination. With abundant mountains and trails, rivers, lakes, and campgrounds, make sure to bring your gear so that you can experience the best that Utah has to offer!
There are hundreds of miles of trails just waiting to be hiked in the mountains surrounding Utah Valley, and springtime, as well as summer, offers beautiful wildflower displays to be enjoyed from a hiker's perspective. Some of the best trails include Mount Timpanogos Trail (moderate difficulty), Box Elder Canyon Trail (high difficulty), and the Alpine Loop trails: Box Lake (1 mile), Stewart Cascades (2 miles), Big Springs (4 miles), and Bear Canyon Trail (2 miles).
Summer heat is no reason to have lazy days. Canyons offer ways to escape the heat in cooler temperatures and shady trails. You can choose from destinations like Vivian Park - one of several parks located a short drive up Provo Canyon - for a family picnic, or choose from over fifty trails of varying difficulty for some serious mountain biking. Provo River Parkway is a paved trail that runs from Provo to Bridal Veil Falls that can be used for hiking, biking, or rollerblading.
If you want to extend your trip to longer than just the afternoon, there are ample places to camp in the valley. The Uintah National Forest and Utah Lake State Park both offer campgrounds, and there are RV parks located in Provo and Springville. Utah Lake State Park also offers a full marina, boat launching sites, and beaches to lounge on.
Utah Valley is home to some great fishing spots. Payson Lakes, at the south end of the valley, is a beautiful recreation area, centered on three lakes. It's a great picnic spot and a good place to teach the kids how to cast their first lines.

Last year, standing in the wings behind the curtain moments before a magnificently inspiring young artists' music festival, I witnessed a performance that touched my heart - maybe even more than the performance on the stage, but certainly as much.
A prayer had been offered in behalf of each of the young performers that their hard weeks - yes, even years - of conscientious preparation might be drawn from at this moment to ensure a masterful performance. Eyes were moist; hearts were touched as strength and unity of family members lent confidence and encouragement to each performer. At that moment a father, appearing proud and grateful, quickly leaned forward, gave his beautiful young daughter a tender kiss on the cheek, and whispered, "You're ready, my dear." And her next step was on stage, alone - a solo flight.
When and with whom was your first kiss?
~~ It was in 1994 with my first love. It was a smack on my lips.
Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?
~~ Yes, Everyday of our lives.
What would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
~~ Well done though good and faithful child, enter into my kingdom.
