Our Trip to the Philippines

My husband and I have been married for 10 years before he finally met my parents and siblings (family) in person last year. Before our flight, my husband was very nervous, excited and worried. Excited to see the place where I was born and raised and also meet my folks, and nervous because it was his first time to travel by plane for almost 24 hours, and worried that my family will not like him, lol. But I assured him that there is nothing for him to be worried about; and he will have so much fun spending time with them. He didn't know then that my parents are more excited to see him and our son than me. Anyway, the long flight was hard for my son. He kept saying "are we there yet, Mommy?" Or "another stop- over again"  in the disappointed voice. But that was replaced with so much fun and excitement when we finally landed and seen his cousin and uncles at the airport waiting for us. Husband spent 10 days there while Jacob and I were there for almost two weeks. Unfortunately, our days there were cut off because hubby and I got sick. But hey! we still had so much fun! I just wished we could have stayed there longer. Seeing my family again was a great treat for me and my family and vice versa. It was worth the money and time.

Going to the Philippines takes a lot of preparations, from saving money for the trip, and shopping for some presents to each member of the family. No occasion for that matter, just a Filipino tradition to give someone something they like and will make them feel special and happy. Aside from these two expenses, there's the pocket money we need to spend while there. Good thing we have saved enough for that trip otherwise we would need to find a company that would give as a  paycheck advance of which we try to avoid as much as possible. Don't get me wrong on this one, obtaining a payday loan is not bad at all, it can actually help you a lot especially in times of emergency and such.

Rainig all Night

Today, the weather men said that it is going to rain tonight until tomorrow morning. And they were right. It rained around 5:30 this afternoon and is still raining. I was wondering if they will announce that there will be no school tomorrow. I figure they will do that :-); and if they do that would be fun! We get to spend time together as family. Honestly speaking, we don't get much time to spend time as family because hubby works at night and my son is at school all day. When hubby is home, he is asleep when Jacob's gets home from school. They only spend about an hour or two and that's about it. This spring, we plan on going to see Grand Canyon in Arizona, and maybe visit my in-laws on the way home. I am already excited!

Mall or Mc Donald?

Today is another one of those Saturdays where hubby works, that means we are all stuck at home. It is kind of boring to stay home the whole week. I would like to go out and do something fun for my son. I promised to take him to Mc Donald today for lunch. He is very excited and couldn't wait till it's 12noon :-). I also think of maybe going to the mall where there is a big play place where he could play with many children. I haven't tell him this plan, but am sure he would choose it over Mc Donald :-). The only problem is that, am I willing to drive a long way? I don't mind driving far before the car crash we had last year. I still can't get over the feeling of fear that it might happen again. I am so nervous every time I go out by myself..... I just hope to get over with it and move on. This should not interfere with the things I like to do. It is not fair....it's not healthy either.

A Day In A State Park

A a family we do a lot of things together from grocery shopping, dining out during special occasions including Anniversaries, playing at the park together, going to church together and so forth. Because we believe that doing things together whatever it is is essential to bind us as a family and makes our family relationship stronger. Here is one activity that we love to do together.

This is the pond inside the state park where we waded and took some pix with.

The old farm and its farm equipments.

The windmill and my little one.

Joe Marina and the lake where you can fish and store your boat...

This guy was fishing when we got there at the Marina...

A tarantula migrating/finding mate...we found it crossing the road!

Jake First Time Swimming!

These were the pictures taken during summer time in 2005. Jacob was 11 months old then, and it was his first time to go swimming with his cousin and Uncle. As you can see, he was enjoying it. Last year we enrolled him at his school for his swimming lesson; he did like it even though you can see on his face that he was scared. Last summer, His Daddy started giving him a lesson and he freaked out wouldn't want to let go of his Dad. I hope it will be different this year, that he would get excited and finally learn to swim without fear!

I was watching them here in this picture :-). I didn't swim neither hubby because we didn't bring swim suits.

Virginia Beach, Here We Come!

Oh my, I have been trying keep my eyes open so I can finish my opps from Payu2, but I couldn't. I need to take a little nap right now and hoping when I wake up, will have energy to do it. My hubby came back from work because there is nothing to do in there. I just don't understand why the company is making them feel depress. If they really want to close the company why wait till April? There is no work to be done, all the employee that are there just sit down doing nothing! Anyway, since hubby is awake now, it is my turn to take a nap, and he will be the one to pick Jacob up at the school bus stop. Ops, before I forget, I will be off blogging tomorrow, we will be going to Virginia Beach, VA. I am excited and couldn't wait to be there! I'll be missing you, guys tomorrow! Have a great weekends everyone!
