Scratches On Kitchen Sink

The other day while I was doing some general cleaning in the kitchen, I noticed that our kitchen sink has scratches on it. I felt bad because we have just purchased it when we bought the house. last year. I don't really remember scratching it with something sharp. I don't think my son did it because I never allow him to use the kitchen sink to wash his hands even though he wanted to use it so bad! Could it be my husband? Not really sure! Anyway, it seems to me that we would need to replace it sooner than what we thought.
