My Little Pirate Went Trick or Treating!

My little pirate went trick or treating today; he got up from a nap at 7:30pm, that is why he was late :-)! For whatever reason he didn't want to go trick or treating, I just forced him to...just like last year. Well, Mommy managed to make him go out and do it!

Here he is ready for bed, after watching "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" which is a family tradition every year.

Girls Talk: My Favorite Accessories

It's been awhile since my last GT entry; been busy lately. This is two days late; hope still okay :-)!

I do have plenty of accessories; but these are my favorite. I wear them every time I go out.

The necklace was purchase when I was still single back in Malaysia, my wedding band and engagement ring, loops earring (which I never take out of my ear, except today); and the Guess watch (hubby's gift on Christmas of 2007).

A Day In A State Park

When we first bought our first house eight years ago, I was so busy decorating it. I even bought an outdoor curtains for our patio. I Already Have a Woman!

This week was a crazy week for us especially during my doctor's appointment on Wednesday where in the morning, I had my iron infusion for my anemia and an afternoon appointment with my gynecologist for biopsy as well as sonogram to find out what was the underlying caused of my heavy bleeding for a month that made me severely anemic. Anyway, I spent the whole day at the hospital that day. My husband picked my son up at the school and then picked me up at the hospital afterward. While driving from school to hospital, Matt and Jake had this conversation:

Jacob: Daddy, where's Mommy?
Daddy: She is at the hospital.
Jacob: Why? Is she having a baby?
Daddy: No! Why did you ask that?
Jacob: Because I want to see a baby.
Daddy: Well, you will see a baby once you have a wife.
Jacob: What is wife, Daddy?
Daddy: Your woman.
Jacob: But I already have a woman.
Daddy: Oh, who is your woman, then?
Jacob: Mommy!
Daddy: She is not your woman, she is my woman.
Jacob: No, Daddy! She is my woman.
Daddy: No, she's not!
Jacob: Yes, she is!
Daddy: Oh well, whatever you say...(giving up with the conversation, lol!

I was laughing when my husband relayed their conversation to me :-)!

I must say that when it comes to my family's health, it is my number one priority. I made sure that what they put in their mouths are healthy foods that will benefit their health and well being. We avoid things that can makes us sick; that is why we don't drink alcoholic beverages, smoke cigars, fatty foods and so on. Lazy Me

This is one of those days where I don't feel like doing anything, not even a phone call. All I want to do is lay on my bed. I don't have energy to do anything, but drop off and pick my son up at school. If you happen to drop by at our apartment, you will see chores waiting patiently for me to do them. Hubby is home today and I bet he will do my chores anytime now. My poor hubby :-(! I will try to make dinner tonight so we don't have to eat out. We have been eating out almost everyday last week and yesterday because we were busy running errands, doctors appointments and looking for a house to buy after our lease is over.

Safety Vests

I have been seeing many building constructions going on around the city where we live. There are housing under construction and development, business establishments, and roads under repair. The most important part of building and fixing these are the workers that is why they need protection in order to do their job safety and effectively. They need to wear safety vests as what I see them wear. Aside from safety vests, they also need other safety products such as safety glasses, safety equipments, work gloves to name a few. These safety products are for those who works in construction as well as those who try to build their own house respectively.

Menstruation - menorrhagia

After doing some research about my case with regards to anemia, I think this is what I am suffering for right because of the symptoms I am experiencing.

Menorrhagia is heavy menstrual bleeding, or bleeding between periods. Around 40ml of menstrual fluid is passed during the average period. Normally, the bleeding stops once the lining of the uterus (endometrium) is shed. For some women, the bleeding is excessively heavy (more than 80ml) or spotting occurs at other times in the menstrual cycle. In most cases, the cause is mysterious. Some of the known causes of menorrhagia include fibroids, polyps, endometriosis, infection and some forms of contraception. Untreated, menorrhagia can lead to other health problems including anemia.

Symptoms
Symptoms of menorrhagia include:
• Heavy blood loss during the menstrual period
• Bleeding or spotting between periods
• Cramping and pain in the lower abdomen
• Fatigue.

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital.
After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let me wheel him to the elevator.
On the way down I asked him if his wife was meeting him.

'I don't know,' he said. 'She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.'

My New Digital Camera

Matt and I decided to buy a new digital camera because we don't like the old one anymore. Woke up early today and I didn't realize till now that it is my lucky day; my husband is off from work for three days and my son has no school till Wednesday :-). Yup, there is no school because of Holiday Fair for students (Texas State Fair) today and tomorrow will be Staff Development which is another holiday for the students. Both of my men are home for three days, awesome. Now, we are thinking of what to do since it is cloudy today as if it is going to rain anytime soon. I am also glad that finally, I am done with the tasks assigned with me, yeheey! Sad that I let two of them expired :-(. Oh well, there will be more coming up, hopefully! For three days, I will be spoiled again 'cause Matt will do the cooking and he will let me do my things on the internet (*grinning*) for as long as I want to!
