Oh, how much I would like to have this purse and sunglasses! But they are very expensive and I don' think I can afford to get them. I will just wish that someday when I get rich :-)! Who knows, right? Everything is possible if you have faith!

Mom's Unending Tasks....

It seems like our tasks as mothers are never ending :-)! Today, I thought I would be able to stay home and just sleep; but I was wrong, the moment the alarm clock went off was the beginning of my busy day. First I have to prepare my son for school, drop him off at the school bus stop and have breakfast. Then hubby told me we need to go to Kroger to meet his friend who is working part time. We need a stable job with good benefit that's why we went there to apply, but unfortunately, the HR and the other manager is on a vacation, so we need to go back on Monday. Well, before we went to Kroger, went to have a replacement for my SS card; and since the Asian Market is close, we decided to buy veggies and and fruits. By the time we are done, it was already lunch time. So went home for lunch. We thought we will be able to take a nap, but no because my son will be home anytime soon; so I ended waiting for him instead. Oh, boy I couldn't stop my eyes from closing, I was so sleepy and tired. At 2:45pm went and picked Jacob up, gave him some snacks and then we all went upstairs to take a nap. We both slept, but Jake. He just lay down there waiting for us to wake up. Amazing how long he can wait for us! Anyway, We ended our busy tiring day with grocery shopping at Walmart. Now I want to retire,just need to finish one thing and that is the opps I got from PPP just now!

Books about Teeth

I bought these books about taking care of teeth by going to the dentist, brushing teeth at least twice a day for Jacob in preparation for his appointment on Monday. I just hope and pray that he will finally agree to have his teeth clean without any fuss. We have been reading these books with him for almost a month now and he really likes them. My son and I have dinner at McDonald today because hubby has a dinner date with all his co-worker who are going to get lay offs and those who are already laid off. Mother and Son Bonding...

This is one of those times where Jacob and I bond. We hug, kiss, play and get silly while Daddy is enjoying taking pictures of us. In here we were playing "Sorry" board game after dinner :-). Oh, boy, this little guy here loves this game and can play it over and over again without getting tired.

Most of the time, we bond as family after supper; then read book with Jake afterwards.You know what's next, it's bed time :-)!

Snow at Last!

Finally, it snowed this morning! Yehey. Jacob was very happy about that. Unfortunately, the snow did not last long enough for him to play outside. My poor little man :-(. Weird because it did not get cold as we expected. Anyway, because of the snow, school were closed. I guess people here on this part of America freak out when snow comes as well as hail; why? Because some stores owners decided to not open and some open a couple of hours later. Back in Texas, people love snow and school doesn't close as long as it is not a heavy one.

Friends in Texas!

These kids are siblings; and their family and us our friends. They live in Texas where we used to lived before moving here on the East Coast. Anyway, they sent pictures of them yesterday and I think they are so cute, so I decided to post one of them here :-). By the way, their names are Ethan, the youngest, Brynnley the second one and the last one is Kylie. I used to be their teacher at church during Sunday school class.

Aren't they adorable? Jacob is a friend to Brynnley mainly because they are the same age. She is the one in the middle!

It is indeed very hard being away from your loved; and all you can do is talk with them on the phone. It is very different when you hear their voice than writing emails or the old fashioned snail mail. Sorting toys up...

This morning I woke up at 8am, went to the kitchen and found my husband busy sorting up Jake's toys. When I saw this pictures, made me think of my son who criticize me when I read book while using the bathroom. Don't get me wrong, but my son loves his book and never cease to reminds us that it's family scriptures study every night before we go to bed. I also read book to him before he goes to bed or he wouldn't be able to sleep without it. I am glad that he loves book just like his grandparents. I used to read a book a lot when I was single, particularly I am fond of reading magazines like Southern Living and Better Homes and Garden. The Most Embarrassing Moments Ever!

I have an unforgettable embarrassing moments when I was in sixth grade, that to this day, I still remember it and wishing I have listened or followed the instructions to avoid such a shame to the school I represent. Anyhow, there is nothing I could do to change it; but surely have learned my lesson with that experienced.

Let’s face it – we’ve all had our share of embarrassing moments. Just be thankful that none of them were as humiliating (and hilarious!) as these:

"A mother was taking a shower when her 2 year old son came into the bathroom and wrapped himself in toilet paper. Although he made a mess, he looked adorable, so she ran for my camera and took a few shots. They came out so well that she had copies made and included one with each of their Christmas cards. Days later, a relative called about the picture, laughing hysterically, and suggesting that she take a closer look. Puzzled, the mother stared at the photo and was shocked to discover that in addition to her son, she had captured her reflection in the mirror wearing nothing but a camera!"

It was very nice if you can go back to bed after taking you child to school or school bus stop. I have been lucky enough lately to have that chance. Today, as soon as I have finish my breakfast after the bus left, I headed back to bed and that was 9:00am. I woke up after 2 and a half hours of sleep :-). And that made me feel better! So, took a shower and got ready to pick my son up for their early released at school today. We went for a grocery shopping at Walmart. I can not believe it. I spent over a hundred bucks for very few items. My goodness! When will I going to spend less again and get more from my money? It is terrible! Well, what else can I do? But keep on buying things we need and not what we want. Hopefully, the economy will rise again from crisis and everything will go back the same way before the recession and war, especially that we have new President.

What a busy day!

It was a very busy day for us again. Hubby has a dentist appointment and he wanted me to be there. So I went with him, picked Jacob up at school and together we all went to the clinic. I was so bored waiting for hubby to have his teeth cleaned and checked. My son was with him the whole time in preparation for his own appointment next month. By the time he was done, it was lunch time already and we were all very hungry. We went at Shoney's for a buffet lunch. It was a nice lunch. After that, we all decided to go home instead of going to grocery store. Jacob took a nap, Matt was busy finding job online and I was busy with my blogs. I didn't get the chance to drop EC's and visit blogs. I will try to do that as soon as I am done giving my son a bath, read book and tuck him to bed. Oh, boy! What a busy day. Right now, I am having headache, but still need to work on opps before going to bed.

GPS

Summer last year, we visited my cousin and her family in Florida. It took us like 12 hours drive before we got there. We have missed the turn, that is why. Apple Ladybug Treats

Red apples are decorated to look like lady bugs. This is a quick and fun snack that kids will enjoy making and eating. For once kids can play with their food.

INGREDIENTS:
2 red apples
1/4 cup raisins
1 tablespoon peanut butter
8 thin pretzel sticks

DIRECTIONS:
1. Slice apples in half from top to bottom and scoop out the cores using a knife or melon baller. If you have an apple corer, core them first, then slice. Place each apple half flat side down on a small plate.
2. Dab peanut butter on to the back of the 'lady bug', then stick raisins onto the dabs for spots. Use this method to make eyes too. Stick one end of each pretzel stick into a raisin, then press the other end into the apples to make antennae.
