Anchor Woman, Laura Diaz

One of the CBS anchor Laura Diaz is a Mexican American who was born and raised in California. She is the pride and joy of the Latino community. She is also a graduate student from William S. Hart High School in Santa Clarita and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. As an eight time Emmy Award winning , including an Emmy in 2006 for individual Achevement in feature reporting, CBS Anchor Laura Diaz won back to back Golden Mike Awards in 2005 and 2006 for Best Reporting. Laura Diaz Anchor also landed the First in depth television interview with incoming L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in June of 2005 on which she earned a national Imagen Award in 2006. Laura Diaz Anchor made her way as the first Hispanic to ever hold the prestigious position at a Southland TV station. Now, she co-anchored CBS 2 News at 5PM and 11PM since 2002.
