Valentines Day at Jake's School

My son came home today from school with these candies given by his teachers, classmates and friends. I think it is Valentines Day celebration. It is kind of new to me. So my husband told me all about it, then, we went to store and bought candies with cards and chocolates to bring to school today. Never done this when I was in grade school, have you?

We already eaten some of the candies, chocolates and cookies before I took this photo, that is why there are only few of them here.

What are they going to do with those candies, give it to their teacher and classmates, sort of exchanging candies? thats cool. we don't have that in the phillipines, teachers asked as to make valentines card as project or assignment, thats what i did when i was still teachinglol, you know kind of killing time have them get busy for the day.

We have them here in Japan-- but since VD is on Saturday,Wakaba didn't give chocolates to her male classmates.btw,in Japan, chocolates are given by a girl only to MALE friends,co-workers,classmates.guys who received choco from girls will return a gift on a so-called White Day.
